Tiernan & Patrylo constructed a press pit for Briggs & Stratton’s Snapper facility adjacent to ongoing production operations while not losing a single day of production on adjacent product lines. Scheduling and safety were critical for this project as the pit had to be completed by the arrival date of the new 600 ton press.

In conjunction with the press pit, Snapper requested T&P design and construct a roof raise over the press pit to accommodate the crown of the new press. Again, this work did not cause any production delays. Construction of a 20? roof lift in conjunction with a pit excavation 16? deep made scheduling, coordination and safety major points of emphasis.
