Lockheed Martin

Tiernan & Patrylo, Inc. has been working for Lockheed Martin Marietta consistently since 2003. During this time, we have completed over $30 million dollars in design, fabrication, and construction service work. We have been involved in the following programs for Lockheed:

C-5 AMP and C-5M Super Galaxy Programs

  • Modified the NE and NW bays of L-10 before the buy and fly test procedures for the RERP program.
  • After the Air Force Accepted the RERP program, T&P modified the NE & NW Bay wing and tail stands for use in the new program.
  • Designed & Built the SE & SW Bay Wing & Tail Stands for the L-10 Building
  • Fabricated four (4) 30’ Nose Stands for the C-5 Bays in L-10
  • Fabricated three (3) Inside Stands for interior platform work inside the C-5s and remodeled one other set.
  • Fabricated sixteen (16) sets of rolling engine plug sets for removal and work on the engine pylons.
  • Fabricated four (4) sets of leading edge stand for work on the slats.
  • Designed and fabricated two (2) sets of trailing edge stands for work on the flaps.
  • Fabricated two (2) sets of over the wing stands.
  • T&P maintains the tooling department with an On-Call P.O. where we respond within 24 hours to complete any safety repair necessary to assure the ongoing operations.
  • Disassembled and moved a complete wing stand from Martinsburg, WV to Marietta. After reassembly, T&P modified the stands for use in the B-25 West building.
  • Installed mezzanine modifications to the L-45 building for shop fabrications and storage capacity for the C-5 program.
  • Installed Fire Protection Systems to the NE Bay Tail Stand.

F-35 Lightning II Program

  • Designed and Built the Phase I auto drill station for the Center Wing Box fabrication.
  • Designed and Built the Phase III Flow Line Station for final assembly of the Center Wing Box fabrication and assembly.
  • Designed and built two elevated moving bridges to allow the automated ground vehicle to move the airplane through the flow line without interrupting fabrication time.
  • Completed several modifications to the Phase II area including final installation and stand-up of new stations.
  • Designed and built a new slider solution that was safer and more user friendly for the workers.

C-130 Assembly Program

  • Designed and built the new Belly Skin Auto Drill fabrication stand for Meridian, MS.
  • Fabricated two new Vertical Lift assemblies for painting the tail of the C-130.
  • T&P maintains the tooling department with an On-Call P.O. where we respond within 24 hours to complete any safety repair necessary to assure the ongoing operations.
